Cairo - Dr. Osama El Abd, Chairperson of the parliament's Religion Committee stated that the terrorist attack which occurred yesterday, May 26, 2017 in the Minya governorate, is rejected by Islam and every religion because of its evilness. He added that such actions must be confronted. During a phone call with DMC Channel today, El Abd said that the parliament has decided to confront terrorism legally by introducing legislation that fights it. He pointed out that the countries funding terrorism must be stopped. He also stressed that all world countries must cooperate to face terrorist operations that have been spreading on a daily basis, as well as combating radical thinking. On Friday, gunmen attacked a group of Egyptian Christians, who were travelling to the monastery of Saint Samuel the Confessor in the Minya governorate (245 km south of Cairo), killing 29 people and wounding 25 others.
