Accra - Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry offered greetings to the Speaker of the Ghanaian Parliament, Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye, and congratulated him on the success of the presidential and parliamentary elections, hailing the positive developments which were witnessed by Ghana as an example of democracy at the level of the African continent. The foreign ministry spokesperson said Minister Shoukry expressed his pleasure with the positive development which was witnessed in bilateral cooperation. The minister also hailed the role played by the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development which is affiliated to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its role in conveying expertise and qualifying Ghanaian cadres. Minister Sameh Shoukry asserted the importance of economic cooperation between the two countries, and further expressed Egypt's eagerness to increase investments in the future, as Egyptian investors seek to benefit from the encouraging investment environment in Ghana. The foreign minister also emphasized Egypt's keenness to increase the level of trade exchange between the two countries by exploiting the competitive advantage of Egyptian commodities in the Ghanaian market.
