Cairo - Egypt has blasted the UK government for refusing to cancel the flight ban to Sharm El Sheikh, Caroline McGuire, from The Sun British News paper reported. In December 2015, tourist travel to the Egyptian resort was suspended after a Russian passenger plane was blown out of the sky, killing 224 people. The UK is now the only country in Europe, except Russia, that hasn't lifted the ban on flights to Sharm el-Sheikh. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advise against all travel to many other parts in Egypt. The UK's travel advice includes the area west of the Nile Valley and Nile Delta regions, excluding the coastal areas between the Nile Delta and Marsa Matruh (as shown on the map).
