Alexandria (Egypt) - Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese paid a visit on Sunday to the headquarters of Alexandria Security Directorate. The Pope was received by the assistant interior minister for the west delta and the Alexandria security chief along with other security officials and officers. Pope Tawadros offered condolences over police martyrs, who died in the brutal terrorist attack on the Church of St. Mark in Alexandria. The Pope also praised efforts of the security forces for confronting terrorist plots nationwide and appreciated police sacrifices to secure the homeland and the Egyptian people. He added that such terrorist acts will not affect the national fabric. The Pope also paid a visit to policemen who were injured in the terrorist attack in the Police Hospital in Alexandria and wished them a speedy recovery.
