Cairo - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi greeted on Saturday Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of Saint Mark Diocese on the occasion of Easter, according to Middle East News Agency. In a cable sent to the pontiff, the president stressed the strong brotherly bonds between the Muslims and Christians of Egypt. Recent terrorist attacks will make Egyptians more determined to uproot terrorism, he said. The president also sent similar cables to the Christians abroad on the same occasion. Earlier in the day, Sisi delegated presidential secretary Moustafa Sherif Mahmoud to the Coptic Orthodox Church in Abbassiya to attend Easter Mass. Other presidential secretaries have been delegated to attend Easter Mass celebrations at the Coptic Catholic Church, the Coptic Evangelical Church, the Syriac Orthodox Church and the Episcopal Church.
