Cairo - Minister of Defense and Military Production Sedqi Sobhi met on Tuesday Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, currently on a visit to Egypt, along with his accompanying delegation. The meeting took up means of promoting bilateral cooperation in light of the good ties binding Cairo and Moscow in addition to exchanging views on the latest regional and international developments and their effect on security and stability in the Middle East. Sobhi affirmed Egypt's keenness on developing partnership with Russia in various fields in a way that would serve the common interests of the two countries. The Russian official, meanwhile, said Moscow is keen to boost cooperation with Cairo, noting that Egypt has a significant role in confronting terrorism and maintaining stability in the Middle East.
