Cairo - 'The State is keen on protecting the rights of Egyptian expatriates', Egypt's Immigration Minister said in a statement. Nabila Makram added that the Immigration Ministry attaches great importance to the recommendations of the national conference of Egyptian scientists abroad. The minister added that periodical meetings are being held with the ministries and bodies concerned to follow up the implementation of the expatriate scientists' recommendations.
Building a new extension to Magdi Yacoub hospital, a new medical center and a research unit was among the recommendations of the scientists' conference, she said.
The recommendations also include supporting Egypt's Space Agency and forming a national program on raising awareness about dealing with catastrophes and crises, she added.
