Cairo, alBawaba - Dr. Shawki Allam, Grand Mufti of the Arab Republic of Egypt , denounced the brutal terrorist attack perpetrated by extremists, where they blew Azhari Institute of South Sheikh Zuweid City, using improvised explosive devices. The terrorist attack took place in Northern Sinai resulting in the demolition of a large part of the building, no injuries reported. The Mufti said in a statement on Tuesday that extremism and terrorism groups fear science and scientists. They are against spreading teachings of moderate tolerant religion of Islam that faces extremism. Allam said that those terrorist forgetting words of the Prophet Muhammed (peace be upon him) that God and angels facilitate a path to the paradise for those who go in a path to knowledge and science. He added that "these aggressive attacks on Azhari show how they (ISIS and other terrorist groups) fear Al-Azhar, which stands lookout for them through the dissemination of knowledge among the people, which should be a motivation for students.
