Matrouh governorate security director, Major General Hesham Lotfy announced Tuesday that Salloum Border Crossing received 332 Egyptian returnees from Libya over the past 24 hours, Youm7 News reported. Lotfy added that 245 people entered the country legally and 87 people entered illegally. He pointed out that Salloum Border Crossing received 193,873 Egyptian returnees from Libya following the beheading of 21 Egyptians by Islamic State jihadist groups militants in February 2015. Lotfy added that 649 people entered Libya through Salloum Border Crossing over the past 24 hours including 205 Egyptians and 444 Libyans.
