Matrouh governorate security director, Major General Hesham Lotfy announced Tuesday that Salloum Border Crossing received 133 thousand Egyptian returnees from Libya following the beheading of 21 Egyptians by Islamic State jihadist groups militants in February 2015, Al Bawaba News reported. Lotfy pointed out that the border received over the past 24 hours 298 Egyptians including 252 people entered the country legally and 46 people entered illegally. He pointed out that 513 people entered Libya through Salloum Border Crossing including 213 Egyptians and 300 Libyans.
