A Misdemeanor court in Egypt on Thursday adjourned to June 23 trial of 10 defendants over protesting April 25 against the marine border demarcation convention between Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Under the convention, Egypt handed two Red Sea islands--Tiran and Sanafir to Saudi Arabia, which triggered widespread uproar. The defendants were released on bail except for Hamdy Kamal who is wanted for another case. The defendants face charges of joining a terrorist group aiming to incite against the government, spreading false news to disturb public peace and security, and inciting demonstrations against state institutions.
