A Cairo prosecution on Wednesday referred head of journalists syndicate Yahia Qalash along with two other members-- Khaled Al-Balshy and Gamal Abdel Rehim-- for trial on charges of glossing over outlaws. Two journalists, accused of inciting violence and seeking to overthrow the regime, were arrested earlier in May after staging a sit-in in the headquarters of the press syndicate, downtown Cairo. The three defendants also face charges of spreading false news.
