An EgyptAir flight was cancelled Tuesday evening after a false bomb threat was reported, Youm7 reported on Wednesday. EgyptAir flight 960, scheduled to depart Cairo International Airport for Bangkok at 22:30 on Tuesday, was cancelled after a three-hour security inspection. Cairo Airport authorities have carefully inspected the plane before Egypt's national carrier announced "the threat was a hoax." The flight was cancelled because the plane was scheduled to operate another flight; the passengers were escorted to a hotel nearby the airport, according to the statement.
