Sharm El Sheikh International Airport received 1690 tourists from different nationalities, during past 24 hours, Al Bawaba News reported Tuesday. The airport also received eight international and 11 domestic flights carrying on board 1690 tourists from different nationalities. Meanwhile, 2041 tourist from different nationalities have left the airport, heading back home, via seven international and 11 domestic flights. Tourism officials expect an increase in the number of tourists visiting Egypt in the coming period, as European countries start to lift the flights ban to Sinai. European countries and the US have imposed a flights ban to Sinai, after a Russian civilian plane crashed in Sinai, killing all passengers and the flight crew members, in October.
