Suez Canal Authority's Head, Mohab Mamish announced that 41 ships weighing 2.4 million tons crossed Monday through the Suez Canal, Youm7 News reported. Mamish pointed out that 21 ships weighing 1.1 million tons have crossed through the north of the canal while 20 ships weighing 1.3 million tons have crossed through the south. He added that the largest ship crossed the canal from the north of the canal was the Maltese "CMA CGM NEVADA" container ship weighing 147 thousand tons, coming from England heading to Singapore, while the largest ship to cross from the south was the French "CMA CGM CHRISTOPHE COLOMB" container ship weighing 163 thousand tons.
