Egypt's Permanent Representative to United Nations, Ambassador Amr Abu Atta revealed that Egypt had chaired on Friday a consultative meeting between members UN Security Council and EU's Political and Security Committee. The meeting took place at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of Egypt to the United Nations in New York, Al Bawaba News reported Saturday. Abu Atta pointed out that Egypt made some briefings on the fight against terrorism on behalf of the UN Security Council, during the meeting. He explained that Egypt highlighted the danger posed by terrorism to international peace and security, as well as the need for a comprehensive approach to combine the international, regional and national efforts to counter terrorism. Moreover, he stressed that the meeting also dealt with the Syrian and Libyan crises, in addition to ways of finding peaceful solutions for these crises from both, the UN Security Council and EU's point of views.
