UK affirms necessity of Egypt's military partnership in combating terrorism

British Embassy in Cairo issued a statement Friday revealing that British Defense Counselor, Tom Beckett‘s visit to Egypt came to affirm UK's commitment towards Egypt as a regional military partner, Al-Bawaba News reported.
A number of Egyptian military officials received Beckett and his delegation where he pointed to Egypt's important partnership in the war against terrorism. He as well declared UK's keenness to develop relations between both countries.
Among issues discussed, both delegations were concerned of joint cooperation in combating threats of improvised explosive devices (IED)s in addition to boost exporting arms that proven its effectiveness in confronting terror organizations.
