MP Nashwa Al Deeb expressed her solidarity with the sit-in organized by a number of journalists in the headquarters of Egypt's Press Syndicate, Al Bawaba News reported on Monday. She rebuked the syndicate storming by the security forces, saying that the Press Syndicate does not harbor terrorists to be stormed in this way. The Egyptian parliamentarian also blamed the interior minister for the statement issued by his institution, saying that it was better for him to apologize. She called Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi for interfering to end the current crisis immediately and to take serious measures against the violators.
