145 Ships weighing 7.9 million tons crossed through the Suez canal during the last three days, said Chairperson of the Canal's authority Mohab Mamish on Tuesday. Mamish pointed out, in a statement published by Youm7, that 72 ships weighing 3.8 million tons have crossed through the north of the canal, while 73 ships weighing 4.1 thousand tons have crossed through the south. Navigational reports issued from Suez Canal revealed that the largest ship crossed the canal was the Danish ship "MARGRETHE MAERSK" weighing 200 thousand tons.
