Canal Suez Authority head, Mohab Mamish announced that 136 Ships weighing 7.9 million tons crossed through the canal in the last three days, Youm7 News reported Wednesday. Mamish pointed out that 76 ships weighing 4.5 million tons have crossed through the north of the canal, adding that 60 ships weighing 3 million and 400 thousand tons have crossed through the south. The largest ship crossed the canal from the north was the Danish ship "MARIT MAERSK" coming from Spain, heading to Malaysia weighing 200 thousand tons, while the largest ship to cross from the south was the Panamanian "MSC ZOE" ship weighing also 196 thousand tons.
