Head of Suez Canal Authority, Mohab Mamish said Tuesday in a statement that 57 ships weighing three million and 200 thousand tons have crossed through Suez Canal, Al Bawaba News reported. Mamish pointed out that 27 ships weighing 1.4 million tons have crossed through the north of the canal, while 30 ships weighing two million tons have crossed through the south side. He added that the largest ship, which crossed through the canal, is the Danish container ship ‘EVELYN MAERSK' weighing 171 thousand tons, coming from Belgium and heading to Saudi Arabia.
