Minister of Defence and Military Production of Egypt, Sedki Sobhi, has received Mohammed bin Nakhira Al Dhaheri, UAE's Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League, as he marks the end of his tenure. Sobhi confirmed the strong Egyptian-Emirati relations, the unity of goals in all fields between the two countries, especially in the field of Arab national security. He also praised the role played by Al Dhaheri during his assignment in Cairo, which has notable contributions to enhance co-operation between Egypt and the UAE. The UAE diplomat highlighted the distinguished Emirati-Egyptian ties and the high level of co-operation between them in various fields, particularly in the security and defence domains, as well as issues regarding stability and development of Egypt to achieve the aspirations of its fraternal people. The Egyptian Chief of Staff, Lt. General Mahmoud Hijazi also met Al Dhaheri on the occasion of the end of his tenure in Cairo.
