Minister of commerce, Tarek Kabeel announced Monday that Egypt would sign a free trade agreement with Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) countries, Al Bawaba News reported. This came during his opening speech at the Egypt-Russia Business Forum, currently held in Cairo. Kabeel said the agreement would have a positive impact on trade exchange movement between Egypt and EEU countries, stressing it would present real opportunities to attract more direct foreign investments to Egypt. The Egypt-Russia Business Forum was held on the sidelines of the joint Egyptian-Russian business and technical cooperation committee's 10th session, in which 60 leading Russian companies operating in important fields that interest both Egypt and Russia, participated. The fields which the Russian companies operate in include industry and banking services, mining, manufacturing of trains and tractors, tourism, telecommunications, and construction. A large number of Egyptian companies took part in the forum.
