At the African Union headquarters in Addis Ababa, Egyptian resident Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met on Sunday chairperson of African Bank (AB), Akinwumi Adesina to discuss funding Egyptian development projects, Al-Bawaba News reported. In the meeting, Al-Sisi praised AB's efforts to ease funding development projects in the black continent. He expressed his keenness to expand AB's fields of cooperation with Egypt as well as supporting new small and medium sized enterprises in addition to fields of renewable energy, agriculture and infrastructure. From his side, Adesina hailed cooperation ties with Egypt, signaling to its government's economic reforms that contributed in its economy recovery and the increase in foreign direct investments. In the same context, Adesina reviewed the bank's plans and programs to be implemented through the next 10 years, stressing the bank's keenness to expand its activities in Egypt. Adesina welcomed Al-Sisi's proposal for funding joint projects that would serve several countries, revealing AB's intention to play a key role in implementing the African Initiative for Renewable Energy presented by Al-Sisi during Paris Conference on climate change.
