President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi met Tuesday Chairman of the State Duma, Sergey Naryshkin in Cairo, to discuss regional and international issues of common interest, Al Bawaba News reported. Naryshkin stressed during the meeting on Russia's keenness to constantly coordinate and consult with Egypt on regional and international issues, particularly the fight against terrorism and extremism in the Middle East. He pointed out that his country seeks to cooperate with Egypt in its efforts to settle the conflicts which are taking place in the region. Meanwhile, the president highlighted Egypt's vision that acknowledges the importance of strengthening international cooperation in counter-terrorism field, through a comprehensive approach which ensures limiting the spread of terrorism and hindering the ability to attract new recruits, as well as eliminating the sources of funding. Sisi pointed out to the need for military cooperation with Russia to eradicate terrorism and extremism, adding that the cooperation should include economic, social, intellectual and cultural dimensions to effectively eliminate the threat of terrorism and extremism.
