President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi welcomed Tuesday the return of 20 compatriots home after being held captives by militants in Libya since December 31, Al Bawaba News reported. Sisi congratulated the returnees, their families and loved ones, upon their safe return to homeland, stressing that Egypt spares no effort to take all possible measures to ensure security, well being and rights of its nationals, both at home and abroad. Speaking to the returnees, who hail from the southern province of Minya, Sisi indicated job opportunities would be available in Egypt, especially in light of the current national projects being implemented in several Egyptian provinces. Sisi thanked the Libyan army and its leaders for their full cooperation and sincere efforts to ensure the release of the captive Egyptians and guarantee their safe return to the homeland. The president also praised the Egyptian authorities who have contributed effectively in the safe return of the Egyptian nationals, especially the Egyptian intelligence agency and ministry of foreign affairs.
