Army Apache and F16 aircrafts killed 23 militants and injured more than 30 others, affiliated with Islamic State offshoot Province of Sinai, in North Sinai, Al Bawaba News reported Saturday. In a preemptive blow, air raids targeted 25 terrorists' hideouts in south of Sheikh Zuweid city leaving several militants dead. The raids came as a preemptive blows ahead of expected terror attacks against military and police facilities coinciding the Christmas celebrations. Security sources, who spoke on anonymity, said that the aircrafts bombed five explosives' storages, six motorcycles and five vehicles belonging to militants in south of Rafah and Sheikh Zuweid. The armed forces arrested 40 suspects of terrorism and seized over a ton of TNT explosives. The forces also seized 450 bullets in a weapons warehouse. The forces succeeded in defusing two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and arrested 30 Muslim Brotherhood (MB) terrorist group members in west of Rafah, the sources added.
