294 ships weighing 16.6 tons crossed through Suez Canal in 6 days: Mamish

Head of Suez Canal Authority, Mohab Mamish announced that 294 ships had crossed through the Suez Canal during past six days, Youm7 News reported Friday.
Mamish pointed out that 149 ships had crossed through the north of the canal, while 145 ships crossed through the south side, with an overall weight of 16.6 tons.
He added that the largest ship, which crossed through the canal, is the Danish container ship ‘EVELYN MAERSK' weighing 171 thousand tons.
