Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced Wednesday coordination had been made with Tunisian authorities to release 16 Egyptian fishermen allegedly arrested for unlicensed fishing in Tunisian territorial waters. Spokesman for the Ministry, Ahmed Abu Zeid said the crew of Egyptian boat seized near the Zarzis port was transferred to the Tunisian port of Sfax to pursue legal action. The Egyptian embassy in Tunisia reassured the fishermen, and it is currently coordinating with the Tunisian authorities and with the boat owner to resolve the crisis as soon as possible, Abu Zeid said in a press release.
