United Nations Human Rights Council chose Saturday Egypt's envoy to UN in Geneva, Ambassador Amr Ramadan to become a member of its advisory committee, Al Bawaba News reported. The African Ambassadors Council in Geneva had unanimously chosen Ramadan to represent the continent in the committee, which includes representatives from Thailand, Albania, France and Brazil. The committee is tasked with providing its expertise concerning relative issues when asked by the council. It largely concentrates on giving advice based on research and studies. Additionally, it may suggest further research proposals concerning the work put forward to it by the council for advice.
