Salloum Investigation Police Department officers at the Matrouh security Directorate and border guards were able to foil 107 people's attempt as they tried to sneak into Libya illegally through the desert routes deployed on the border between the two countries across the desert town of Salloum, Al-Bawaba News reported. Assistant Interior Minister for Security Director of Matrouh, General Hisham Lutfi received a notice to arrest 131 people, including 54 of Minya, 3 of Kafr el-Sheikh, 16 of Beni Suef, 3 of Fayoum, 1 of Qalubia, 13 of Assiut, 1 of Menoufia, 9 of Sohag, 6 of Damietta and 1 from Al Buhaira, all tried to leave the country illegally.
