Minister of Supply, Khaled Hanafi announced Saturday that African continent has great opportunities to achieve returns on investment and attract investors, Al Bawaba News reported Sunday. This came during the inauguration of the African Chambers of Commerce conference, which was organized by the General Union of Chambers of Commerce and attended by a number of ministers. Hanafi stressed that the return on investment in Africa is the highest in the world, as a result of the continent's possession of raw materials, human resources and a quarter of the world's markets. He pointed out that in order for the African countries to achieve sustainable development, those countries need to forge alliances and support means of transport and logistics within the continent to link countries together. Furthermore, he explained that those alliances must be strategic and based on specific aims to target, which should not only be focused on the continent, but also globally.
