President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi welcomed Tuesday Port of Singapore Authority head, Tan Chong Ming to discuss development of Suez Canal axis, at presidential palace headquarters. Chong Ming congratulated Al Sisi for the inauguration of the new Suez Canal in just one year, Al Bawaba News reported. Presidential Spokesperson, Ambassador Alaa Yousef said that the president expressed his appreciation and admiration of the Singaporean experience on the economic and humanitarian development. The president pointed out that the development of the Suez Canal axis project will include the establishment and development of six ports, including the East Port of Ain Sukhna and Port Said, as well as the establishment of an industrial zone for each port. Yousef added that the president was briefed by Chong Ming on the experience of Singapore in establishing and managing of ports, as the country are working on developing ports in sixteen countries.
