Egypt's security forces defused Friday an improvised explosive device (IED) in Giza governorate's Mohandeseen district, with no casualties reported, Al-Bawaba News reported. Bomb disposal experts intensified their presence immediately to the area to scan it for other potential threats. Egypt has been hit by a string of deadly blasts claiming hundreds of lives, mostly among security personnel since the ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi in July 2013.
