‘For the Love of Egypt' electoral list seeks forming a political coalition including a number of political parties, to obtain the majority of the next parliament seats, Al-Bawaba News reported Wednesday. "The list works on creating strong coalition to support the state and serve citizens, regardless of any ideological differences," said Mostafa Bakry, parliamentary candidate and supervisor of For the Love of Egypt's operations room in Giza, in an interview with Al-Ghad Al-Arabi News Channel. "For the Love of Egypt", led by former intelligence officer Sameh Seif Al-Yazal, appears to have emerged victorious in the list-based system in the 14 governorates which voted in the first phase, winning 60 seats across the Upper Egypt and West Delta districts. These results are not final and the official results are due to be announced by the High Elections Committee (HEC) on Thursday.
