In a bid to get majority of the coming parliament, a number of heads of Egyptian parties and coalitions met over the past few days to form an electoral alliance, Al-Bawaba News reported. A source said in a statement to Al-Bawaba News that the meeting was attended by the head of Al-Wafd Party, Dr. Sayyid al-Badawi;the founder of the Free Egyptians Party, Naguib Sawiris; General Coordinator of the in Egypt's Love List, Maj. Gen. Sameh Seif Yazal, in addition to representatives of a number of political parties, most notably Conservatives, and Reform and Development, and Modern Egypt, and Protectors of Homeland. "The meeting discussed the configuration of the alliance of political forces in the parliament to be announced immediately after the elections to determine the number of seats that each party will win," the source added.
