U.S.-led International coalition command announced Tuesday that it launched 14 airstrikes against Islamic State (IS) militants in Iraq, Iraqi media outlets reported. The command said that its warplanes conducted 11 airstrikes on IS sites in seven Iraqi cities, destroying seven fighting positions, seven tactical units, and buildings. It added that the other three airstrikes were carried out on IS sites in Syria's Al Bukamal, Deir ez-Zor and Al Hawl cities. The coalition has launched its war against IS positions in Aug. 2014.
