U.S.-led coalition launches 24 airstrikes on IS sites in Syria, Iraq

U.S.-led International Coalition launched 24 airstrikes against Islamic State (IS) militants in Iraq and Syria, Al Bawaba News reported Saturday.
The coalition command said that its warplanes conducted 15 airstrikes on IS sites in a number of Iraqi cities, destroying tunnels, outposts, tactical units and fighting positions.
It added that the other 9 airstrikes were carried out targeting IS sites in Syria's Haskah, Raqqa and Tel Abyed cites, destroying a number of tactical units and vehicles.
The coalition has launched its war against IS positions in Aug. 2014.
