U.S.-led International coalition command announced that it launched 31 airstrikes against Islamic State (IS) militants in Iraq, Youm7 News reported Friday. The command said that its warplanes conducted 16 airstrikes on IS sites in seven Iraqi cities, destroying fighting positions, buildings, a tunnel and a number of vehicles. It added that the other 15 airstrikes were carried out on IS sites in Syria's Haskah, Raqqa, Ein Eissa and Tel Abyed cities, destroying a number of tactical units and fighting positions. The coalition has launched its war against IS positions in Aug. 2014.
