Ministry of Justice has decided to take legal actions in order to renegotiate with Britain to recover embezzled public money during ousted president Hosni Mubarak's era, Al Bawaba News reported Saturday. Judicial sources revealed in a statement to Al Bawaba that the department of international cooperation within the ministry has reopened communication lines with countries, which have the embezzled public money in their possession in accordance with United Nations Convention against Corruption. The sources who spoke on condition of anonymity said that a judicial committee will soon visit the European Union in order to negotiate a renewal of requests for freezing of funds. The ministry is coordinating with the British government, through video conference, to negotiate the recovery of funds held by banks, the sources noted.
