President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said Saturday that the recent refugee crisis is a direct result of problems faced by Middle Eastern countries, Al-Bawaba News reported. This came during a meeting with Serbian President, Tomislav Nikolic, on the sidelines of the UN's General Assembly's 70th session held in New York. Al-Sisi stressed that such crisis requires political solutions and concerted international efforts to combat terrorism in the region, which are the reasons behind this crisis. The two sides agreed on the importance of intensifying cooperation between the two countries during the next phase, as well as boosting relations in various fields, in the framework of achieving mutual benefits.
