Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi stressed the need for combating terrorism to restore the prestige of the countries suffering from its threats, Al Bawaba News reported. Sisi's remarks came during a phone call with Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi on Tuesday. The president expressed support for the efforts exerted by the European Union to combat terrorism, and to ensure the security and stability for the peoples of the Mediterranean. Regarding the Libyan crisis, Sisi called for providing support for the Libyan institutions, stressing the need for enhancing the military capabilities of the Libyan national army to confront the current challenges.
