Former Deputy Foreign Minister Hussein Haridy said that US is keen to improve mutual relations with Egypt, Al Bawaba News reported Tuesday. The Egyptian ambassador underlined the meeting between President Abdel Fatah Al Sisi and CIA Chief John Brennan on Sunday, saying it turned a new page in the relations between the two countries. Haridy stressed that the visit reflects Egypt's importance for the US as an important ally. He said the American officials need to coordinate with Egypt in different issues, including the fight against terrorism, Libyan conflict, Yemeni crisis and the recent developments in the Storm of Resolve. The relations between both countries have been strongly strained since the ousting of former President Mohamed Morsi in July 2013.
