Egyptian army and police killed Thursday 17 militants and arrested 62 others in North Sinai during the 11th day of Martyr's Right operation that was launched on September 7 against terrorist groups, Al Bawaba News reported. The army also destroyed 16 vehicles, 13 motorcycles, 42 terrorists' hideouts, as well as defusing 53 improvised explosive devices planted by terrorists on North Sinai's Arish, Rafah and Sheikh Zuweid cities. Since September 2013, the Egyptian army has been carrying out an ongoing military campaign against terrorist groups in Sinai after they claimed responsibility for several deadly attacks targeting Egyptian military and police personnel.
