At least eight ministers will keep their positions in the newly elected Prime Minister Sharif Ismail's government, while other seven portfolios are under discussion, governmental source told Al-Bawaba News Wednesday. The new cabinet is expected to be announced over the weekend after President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi elected PM Ismail to form a caretaker government until the upcoming parliamentary elections. Ismail is to succeed former PM Ibrahim Mahlab who submitted his government's resignation early September following corruption accusations. According to the source, the ministers expected to hold their positions include Defense Minister Brigadier Sedki Sobhi, Foreign Minister Ambassador Sameh Shoukry, Interior Minister Maj. Gen. Magdi Abdel Ghaffar, Justice Minister Ahmed al-Zend, Local Development Minister Adel Labib, Electricity Minister Mohamed Shaker, Housing Minister Mustafa Madbouli and Finance Minister Hani Demian.
