Egypt's Minister of Antiquities, Mamdouh Damati announced Tuesday that Egyptian-German archaeologist team will start restoration process on October 10, Al Bawaba News reported. The minister explained that this step comes after finishing the initial studies to determine the most appropriate methods to restore the mask to keep its archaeological value and current state.
