President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi left Saturday Indonesia after meeting with his Indonesian counterpart Joko Widodo to discuss several regional and international issues, Al Bawaba News reported. In his two-day visit, Sisi discussed with Widodo ways to boost the bilateral relations between the two countries as well as signing a number of agreements in various fields. Sisi also met with the Secretary General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Lee Luong in Jakarta to discuss ways to boost economic cooperation between Egypt and the association as well as discussing Egypt's request to be an ASEAN dialogue partner. The President also visited the National Monument in Jakarta's Merdeka Square, which was built as a symbol of Indonesia's independence.
