Egypt's military has arrested 13 suspected militants and defused three homemade bombs southern Sheikh Zuwaid, North Sinai, al-Masry al-Alyum reported Saturday.
Military sources said Apaches targeted a number of terrorist hotbeds and destroyed unlicensed motorbikes used by militants in terror attacks against military personnel.
Meanwhile, the commando forces have arrested 11 elements, suspected to be affiliates of the Province of Sinai, southern al-Arish city.
Since the ouster of former president Mohamed Morsi, July 2013, the military has launched a crackdown against terrorist groups that killed and wounded hundreds in the restive peninsula.
