Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Friday that it is investigating the claims about the death of a number of Egyptian fishermen after their boat sank off the coast of Libya, Al Bawaba News reported. The Ministry's spokesperson Ahmed Abu Zeid said that preliminary information suggests that three fishermen were died, eight others are missing and four were detained. Abu Zeid stressed that the ministry communicates with Libyan authorities and tribes to try to release the detained fishermen as well as searching for the missing. He warned the Egyptian fishermen from fishing in the territorial waters of other countries without a license and not to approach to the high-risk areas in Libya.
