President Hassan Rouhani hailed the fast pace of the Iranian Armed Forces towards self-sufficiency. Addressing a gathering to mark the National Day of Defense Industries here on Saturday, the President said there is the high-speed movement discernable in the country towards the self-sufficiency in armed forces. He said the Iranian defense industry is seeking to materialize ideals of the country and the nation. He added the defense industries are set to defend Iranian territory, its people and interests as best as possible. President Rouhani reiterated that Iran has never attacked others countries. Earlier in the day, President Rouhani launched a new Iranian precision-guided missile. He unveiled the latest achievement of the Iranian experts in devising a guided ballistic missile branded as 'Fateh 313'. Manufacturing the Fateh 313, made Iran as one of the handful world countries that possess missiles with a range of 500-km using compound solid fuel. The missiles is designed and manufactured by Iranian researchers and scientists at the Ministry of Defense using only the domestic sources. Thanks to its successful test-performance, the missile will be mass produced by the Defense ministry.
